Your Film School Guide

Hi, I'm Ziyu.

When I was applying to film school, I couldn't find anyone who actually understood the process, I figured it out the hard way, and it worked: I got into USC, NYU, Chapman, LMU, Boston University, Emerson, and UC Berkeley for film.

Now I help students do the same thing I had to teach myself.

​

I'm currently a sophomore at University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts, so I am actively connected to what these programs are actually looking for right now.

​

I work with students on the things that actually move the needle: building a portfolio that doesn't look like everyone else's, positioning extracurriculars so they tell a real story, and avoiding the small application mistakes that quietly get strong applicants rejected.
