School Activities
I am a driven and community-oriented individual, and my involvement in school clubs has left a mark. My commitment to connecting with my school community is evident through my active participation in various clubs.
Dance Ensemble Club
The Dance Ensemble is a collaborative, inclusive, and creative group of students with a wide range of dance abilities, experiences, and interests. My club and I moved, discussed ideas, choreographed, watched dance on film, hosted guest teachers/choreographers, and created dances that could be shared with our community.
Being the director of choreography in this club, I choreographed and taught dance to groups of 30+, and performed for 80+ (from Jazz and Hip Hop to Modern and Contemporary.)
Acting Improv
The Acting Improv club is a creative club teaching members to think on their feet, embrace spontaneity and enhance their creativity. As the club's co-president, I led weekly improvisational comedy games, created campaigns to spread creativity and community. I taught members of the club how to work as a team to express their feelings and ideas through improvisation.
Debate Club
Being the president of the debate club means I get to design and teach over 20 debates to the class and lead a group of 45+ students to win debate tournaments.
Amnesty International
Amnesty International is a worldwide human rights organization dedicated to promoting the human rights of all individuals. Our group’s activities include letter-writing campaigns and research dedicated to raising awareness within our school community. I led a fundraising event for the civilians affected by the earthquake in Turkey/Syria which helped rescue attempts, provided food and water, and post-disaster reconstruction.
